FALL OUT BOY
This American rock band came into existence in 2001 in Illinois, Chicago. All the founding members had participated in hardcore punk scenes in the past, and this formed the basis for the foundation of the band. At first, this group was an underground success. Touring the country to reach their fans helped them acquire a solid fan base. They also began enjoying some commercial benefits owing to such efforts.
In time, their breakthrough came in 2005 where they released two singles that were an instant hit. So tremendous was the positive response worldwide that the band members got propelled into stardom. The band released a follow-up album ‘Infinity on High, ’ and this landed them at the top of the Billboard 200, having sold over a quarter million copies in the first week.
The band took a break from 2009 to 2012, owing to a decline in their music quality and citing that they needed to regroup. On resuming performances, they released ‘Save Rock and Roll’ which earned them a top 20 status. Their subsequent albums have also received positive responses, showing that the regrouping was a great idea.
